The company founder, Oswald zum Wald, manufactured thermometers, and developed some of the machines for this production himself. Arnold zum Wald started his machinery and apparatus construction business in 1962. The main activity was the construction of special machines in a number of different sectors. Products were developed, and some were patented. Andreas zum Wald took over the company in 1995, and the company moved into new premises in 1999, in which it was possible to manufacture state-of-the-art machines for the production of own-products and high precision parts for demanding customers. The company has remained a single proprietor business up to today’s date.
